Voorzorgsmaatregelen bij het gebruik van aluminium cryo-tubes (cat.nr. PA6015 & PA6003)
VOOR UW PERSOONLIJKE BESCHERMING

  • Draag altijd een gelaatsmasker (van acrylaat).
  • Controleer of de schroefdraden van het potje en deksel in orde zijn.
  • Draai het deksel goed vast.
  • Let op: VOORKOM GROTE TEMPERATUURSVERSCHILLEN

Bij grote temperatuurswisselingen kan de deksel van het potje afgeschoten worden en veranderen in een gevaarlijk projectiel.

Gebruik altijd persoonlijke beschermingsmiddelen, bijvoorbeeld een volgens de NEN-EN-166 of 89/686/EEG goedgekeurd gelaatsscherm, eventueel in combinatie met een veiligheidsbril.

Instructies voor gebruik

Het materiaal krimpt of zet uit onder invloed van temperatuurswisselingen. Voor volledige afsluiting is het belangrijk dat potje en deksel bij dezelfde temperatuur worden bewaard.

Gebruik cryo-tubes in combinatie met vloeibare stikstof

  1. Plaats weefsel in cryo-tube
  2. Sluit cryo-tube goed af en plaats het in vloeibare stikstof gedurende 1 minuut
  3. Bewaar cryo-tube met weefsel bij -80°C

Gebruik cryo-tubes in combinatie met isopentaan (aangeraden bij spierweefsel of nierbiopten)

  1. Breng een maatbeker met isopentaan aan in vloeibare stikstof

(Na ongeveer 2 minuten gaat isopentaan stollen. De temperatuur is nu -160°C.)

  1. Plaats uitgesneden weefsel in isopentaan gedurende een halve minuut
  2. Breng bevroren weefsel over in cryo-tube en sluit de cryotube
  3. Bewaar cryo-tube met weefsel bij -80°C

Precautionary measures to be taken when using aluminum cryotubes (PA6015)
FOR YOUR PERSONAL PROTECTION.

  • Wear a face mask at all times (made from acrylate).
  • Check if the screw threads and the lid are okay.
  • Screw the lid only tightly.
  • Attention: AVOID EXCESSIVE TEMPERATURE CHANGES

When exposed to excessive temperature changes the lid could explode from the cryotubes.

Protect yourself at all times. Wear a face mask, approved by the DIN standard 58214 part II and
part III , BS 2092.2 or by the EEG regulation 89/686/EEG.

Instruction for use

The material shrinks or expands under influence of excessive temperature differences. Make sure that the lid and the vial are in the same temperature

Storage of cryotubes in liquid nitrogen

  1. Place the tissue in the cryotube.
  2. Close the cryotube tightly and place the cryotube in the liquid nitrogen for 1 minute
  3. Store the cryotube at -80°C

Use of cryotube in combination with isopentane  (commended by muscle tissue of kidney biopsies)

  1. Place a cup with isopentane in the liquid nitrogen

(After approximately 2 minutes the isopentane clot and have a temperature of -160°C.)

  1. Place the tissue sample or kidney biopsies in the isopentane for half a minute.
  2. Place the frozen tissue or kidney biopsies in the cryotube and close the cryotube
  3. Store the cryotube at -80°C
